The Maryland harness racing circuit returns to the Capital Region on Monday (Sept. 14) when Rosecroft Raceway kicks off its 2026 Fall Meeting.
The 27-night stand will feature live racing on Monday and Thursday evenings through Dec. 17, with nightly first post at 7:15 p.m. (ET). The exceptions to the standard schedule include both of the Fall Meeting’s marquee events: the Maryland Showcase of Champions program, on Sunday, Oct. 11; and the Potomac Pace, on Sunday, Nov. 8. Both Sunday programs will begin at 6 p.m. and will replace the immediately following Monday programs. Rosecroft will additionally be dark on Thanksgiving (Thursday, Nov. 26).
The $800,000 Maryland Showcase of Champions program will feature all eight fall Maryland Sire Stakes series finals for 2- and 3-year-olds on the same program, reviving the format for the first time in well over a decade. Four weeks later, North America’s top open pacers will converge on the Capital Region for the 11th edition of the Grade 3 $125,000 Potomac Pace, Maryland’s only graded Standardbred race.
Players will be treated to a steady dose of full, competitive fields and value opportunities, including two 50-cent Pick-4s on each card with a reduced 15% takeout, as well as a 50-cent Jackpot Hi-5 on the final race of each program. Free program pages, the Players’ Guide tip sheet, and live and archived video will be available on the track’s new website, www.rosecroftraceway.com.
