To enter your horse(s) to race at Rosecroft, either use the USTA Online Entry platform or call the race office at 301.567.4435.

Licensing
All racing participants must have a valid Maryland Racing Commission license, and all licensees must have their licenses in their possession at all times while on Rosecroft Raceway grounds.

The MRC office at Rosecroft is located in the trailer between the grandstand and the paddock and is open on race nights from 3-9 p.m.

Liability
All participants on raceway grounds (drivers, trainers, caretakers) must complete and have on file with the race office the following liability release waiver:
Bookkeeping
In order to receive purse payments, owners must complete the following forms:
Purse Release and Direct Deposit Authorization
IRS Form W-9
IRS Form W-8ECI
When completed, submit them via email to horsepeople’s bookkeeper Mary McDermott at mary.mcdermott@rosecroft.com or via fax at 301.567.1053.
For further information, contact Mary McDermott via the above email address or via phone at 301.567.4506. The bookkeeper’s office is open on race nights from 6-11 p.m. or until the last race.
Purse Distribution
Unless otherwise indicated, purse distribution for all overnight races at Rosecroft is as follows:
1st Place – 50%
2nd Place – 25%
3rd Place – 12%
4th Place – 8%
5th Place – 5%
Horses finishing 6th or worse will receive $150.
Horses meeting “Maryland Preferred” criteria are eligible for a bonus on any purse earnings in overnight races (Maryland Sire Stakes, Maryland Standardbred Race Fund, and other events designated by Rosecroft Raceway are excluded from said bonus).
